LOCATION: Winnipeg, MB
SALARY: $40,000 to $50,000
Our transportation client is searching for an experienced Driver Recruiter to attract top drivers and owner-operators. This person must be able to assesss and match qualified drivers to various types of operational requirements, so a person with a dynamic personality and good judgment is required. This Driver Recruiter will review applicants and determine whether they meet company standards. S/he will support company values of safety and compliance and will work cooperatively with their operations team to focus on driver retention using innovative solutions. Our best candidate will have 4 years in the industry with recruitment and selection experience. Familiarity with employment regulations related to the transportation sector, exceptional communication and motivation skills are required, plus strong analytical ability and a high degree of professionalism.
Grade XII Diploma, completion of formal Recruitment & Selection training, and some Human Resources courses would be assets. Experience in using MS Office is required.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of industry and employment legislation, and ability to assess both company and driver requirements. This person should be results-oriented and well organized, willing to attend industry functions and follow up on appropriate candidates.
